Devlog 10: Last week of polish


Hi everyone!
We have come to the end of the polishing sprint and we can say that we are proud of the result!

Room Updates
For this week we wanted to get a new room for the extra game mode of tag. We made this a play room for the siblings. Now we have a room for each gamemode.


To make these more polished we added in some more additional props.


Day/nightcycle
The day and nightcycle finally works, it was tough but the result is here! It's getting darker outside while it's getting cozier inside. The lights turn on and the lamp starts spinning.
Have a look:

Angry mom
When the timer hits 00:00, it means the babies aren't in bed in time, which leads to an angry mom. Watch out this woman is crazy!


Main Menu
We added a nice transition between choosing a game mode and starting the game. The camera while slowly turn upwards and fade to black.

Programming
This week again had a lot of bugfixes. As well as just general improvements to the code.

For one the players can't tag back immediately in the tag gamemode.
Loads of effects where added as well: the suction of the vent, the feathers when you hit an opponent, ...
As well as their accompanying sounds.
And haptic feedback when the player tags, gets tagged or get teleported.


The players now also sleep in the crib when they are caught.

The splatter effect is applied to the screen for the bottle drop.


That was it for this last week of polishing! We will be wrapping this project up with out final post on here later.
